The BBC is shining a light on country music this year across radio, TV and digital with a feast of programmes and specials.
Highlights for 2025 include BBC Two series Rob Brydon’s Honky Tonk Road Trip, which will see Rob journey around America’s southern states to discover country music’s origins and what led to its recent global explosion.
After a sell out West End performance in 2024 Rob Brydon is taking his celebrated Christmas show around the country. Accompanied by a fabulous eight piece band Rob will usher in the festive season in his own inimitable style with songs, stories and even an impression or two, in a wonderful warm hearted evening for all the family.
On what would have been his 90th birthday, Australian comedy great Barry Humphries will be remembered by actor, comedian and lifelong fan Rob Brydon. Barry Humphries: Gloriously Uncut (an episode in the Archive on 4 strand), will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on Saturday 17th February, featuring fresh insights, unheard archive recordings and interviews from those who knew and understood him the best.
