Best in Class, the award-winning initiative supporting working-class comedians, has announced that applications are now open for its Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Showcase 2026.
The project will offer eight working class comedians the opportunity to perform at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, alongside receiving extensive professional development and support in the lead-up to the festival.

The award-winning project offers eight working class comedians the opportunity to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe. Acts selected work tirelessly in the run up to the festival. They are guided through the process of running a show, from writing press releases, to marketing and tech skills. Crucially, none of the acts pay to participate and they all receive payment for the work they do.
The award winning, crowdfunded, profit sharing show champions the talent of working class comedians. Best in Class were awarded the Edinburgh Comedy Awards Panel Prize for their work in 2022.
