The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society has announced actor Brian Cox as the newest Patron of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The role will see Brian act as Patron for the festival, alongside previously announced Alumni Patron Eddie Izzard and honorary President of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
