Daniel Sloss
Comedian Daniel Sloss has released a new guide to debunk Scottish stereotypes.
Comedian Daniel Sloss' current run of live US dates is set to reach Washington this weekend, coinciding with the inauguration of Donald Trump as 45th President of the USA.
He – Sloss, not Trump – plays Drafthouse Comedy from Thursday to Saturday supported by Eric Lampaert. Tickets for the show can be purchased here.
Daniel Sloss has announced a new run of dates in London and his first-ever run of shows in New York.
The award-winning 25-year-old Scot will be appearing at the Soho Playhouse in New York from February 9 – 13. Sloss has performed before in America, where he has appeared regularly on Conan O'Brian's chat show, but this is his debut run in New York.
Sometimes comedy spots the zeitgeist before it becomes the zeitgeist. In Edinburgh this summer both Bridget Christie and Daniel Sloss had routines about the absurdity of tampons being taxed as a luxury item. This week UK MPs voted against a move to make the government cut tax on sanitary products, dubbed the "tampon tax". The Finance Bill amendment, which would have forced a negotiation with the EU for a reduction in the 5% VAT rate, was rejected by 305 to 287 votes.
Daniel Sloss has slotted in European tour dates this autumn alongside his UK tour. The acclaimed Scottish stand-up will be performing his latest show Dark in the UK and his previous show Really?! in countries across the continent from Iceland to Croatia. The European tour also includes dates in Lithuania, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Holland, Denmark, Norway, Czech Republic, Sweden, Austria and Germany.
Comedian Daniel Sloss is one of the stand-up stars of Spiegeltent at Canary Wharf, the multi-genre festival running in London from September 10 - 20. Also on the bill are Alex Horne and The Horne Section, improvisation troupe BattleActs!, the Comedy Club 4 Kids and psychic siblings The Twins Macabre.
Acclaimed comedian Daniel Sloss has announced a new 35-date UK tour starting on September 18 and ending on December 5. The tour follows a run at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre during the Fringe and will be called Dark, in honour of the fact that the 24-year-old is sick of being described by people as dark.
The first official trailer has been released for M.U.F.F, a brutally violent six-part online satire about the TV industry.
Janey Godley has been nominated for four awards in the second Scottish Comedy Awards nominations, announced today. The Glaswegian comedian is up for Best Headliner, Best Compere, Best Podcast (with her daughter Ashley Storrie) and Best Festival/Tour Show.
