Diane Morgan
BBC Two is to make a new comedy pilot starring Diane Morgan. Lethal will be the latest comedy pilot for the channel, which will air as part of the New on Two strand in 2021.
Diane Morgan’s new comedy Mandy is an interesting one. It’s a sitcom, but only 15 minutes long rather than the usual half hour, so the BBC is showing two episodes back to back. Yet 15 minutes feels just about right. There’s a cartoonish quality to Morgan's working class chancer with the biggest, wonkiest lips in TV and any longer might just be too ridiculous.
Shaun Ryder, best known as lead singer in Happy Mondays, is set to play the ex-husband of Diane Morgan's character in her new BBC sitcom Mandy.
The cast has been announced for Mandy, a brand new comedy series written, directed and starring Diane Morgan (Cunk on Britain, Motherland, After Life).
Following a successful one-off, the cast for the six-part series features guest stars including Tom Basden (Plebs, After Life), David Bradley (Game of Thrones), Natalie Cassidy (EastEnders), Sean Lock (15 Storeys High, 8 Out Of 10 Cats), and Maxine Peake (Peterloo, Anne, The Bisexual).
Life after death comedy ReincarNathan returns to Radio 4 on BBC Sounds, Thursday 9 July at 18:30, welcoming back Daniel Rigby and Diane Morgan, joined by Daniel Lawrence Taylor, Sally Phillips, Romesh Ranganathan, James Acaster and a host of special guest stars.
Filming has started on Mandy, a brand new comedy series from Diane Morgan, made by BBC Studios.

This year’s Comedy Shorts are titled: Brain in Gear, Lazy Susan, Mandy and Sorry.

As part of BBC Radio's Halloween season Diane Morgan has been investigating ghosts. She apparently saw a ghostly figure in a bedroom at her nan’s house when she was eleven, which sparked a life-long obsession with the paranormal.
Radio 4 Extra's Diane Morgan Believes In Ghosts features Maxine Peake, Steve Punt and Toyah Willcox. In this special one-off broadcast Morgan has searched the BBC vaults for the best real-life tales of ghost hunting, hauntings and unexplained phenomena.
