Douglas Henshall (Shetland, Iona, In Plain Sight) has joined the cast of C4 comedy Home. He will play Elliot, John’s dad and Katy’s ex-husband in the second series, which is due to air in February on Channel 4.

Home is written by and stars Rufus Jones (W1A, Stan & Olli) and follows a Syrian refugee who ends up living with a family in Britain after sneaking into their car in Calais. Series 2 picks up six months after Sami’s interview with the Home Office in order to stay permanently in the UK.
