Can You Keep a Secret?, the hit sitcom starring Dawn French, will return to BBC iPlayer and BBC One after a successful first run, where the series launch captivated audiences of 5.3 million across 28-days.
The series landed as the third biggest comedy launch on BBC iPlayer since 2024 with an audience of 3.3 million (62% of the audience) across 28-days (behind Ludwig 5.5 million and Amandaland 4.3 million).
On the first show of 2026 (9th January), Graham welcomes Hollywood star Chris Pratt, Wicked star Cynthia Erivo, comedian and writer Dawn French, comic Rob Beckett, and singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti.
Anything with Dawn French in it is going to be worth watching and when Mark Heap is playing her husband you are surely onto a winner. Can You Keep A Secret? stars French and Heap as oddball country couple Debbie and William. The secret is the fact that William has to play dead as Debbie has cashed in their £250,000 insurance policy after an admin mix-up paid out even though he was alive and kicking.
Dawn French returns to sitcoms in Can You Keep A Secret? The Vicar of Dibley star plays widow Debbie Fendon - granny, lawn bowler, tinpot dictator - who will stop at nothing to make sure her family is protected. Unfortunately, most of the time the person they really need protecting from is her. When her hermit-like husband William (Mark Heap) unexpectedly dies, she makes an outlandish decision that will put the family under more pressure than ever before.
