Geoff Norcott
Geoff Norcott’s brand of provocative stand-up is hitting the road again with his new show Taking Liberties, starting in Guildford on September 19.
Beyond left/right party politics and Brexit, Geoff Norcott has realised the main thing that motivates his political persuasion is that he hates being told what to do. Whether it's Eurocrats, ministers, cultural icons or his wife of 15 years, Geoff just can't stand anyone having power over him.
It's a bad time to feel this way.
Due to popular demand, and after numerous sell out performances, Geoff Norcott, star of BBC’s Live At The Apolloand The Mash Report, has extended his national tour of Traditionalism. The additional autumn leg will see Geoff will move up to playing a number of 300-seater venues.
Geoff Norcott has announced a UK tour for his latest show Traditionalism in 2018. The UK dates start at the New Wimbledon Theatre on February 8 and currently end on March 25 at the Royal George in Saddleworth.
A trade unionist’s son who grew up on a council estate, Norcott has recently been seen on BBC2 as a correspondent for The Mash Report and will also be seen the the new series of Live At The Apollo.
"Right leaning but well meaning" comedian Geoff Norcott is to appear on the Question Time panel on BBC1 tonight.
The news was announced via the BBC Twitter feed last night and the response was mixed. He was accused of having a cry "when he was the only right wing comic at the fringe" by Josephockey1, while Clarrknulp asked if Jim Davidson was unavailable.
Norcott, who voted for Brexit, responded with: "Nervous but excited. Hopefully there's valium in the green room."
