For his brand-new tour, Geoff Norcott (Would I Lie to You?, Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, Question Time and The Mash Report) will be talking less politics (alright, there will probably be a bit), and, instead, will mostly explore personal responsibility, parenting and who should take the blame when things go wrong. Hint: it’s you!
‘I Blame the Parents’ is the fourth national tour for Geoff Norcott, following on the back of ‘Conswervative’, ‘Traditionalism’ and ‘Taking Liberties’.
The tour starts on April 1 in Shrewsbury. Ticket link below.
This time Geoff talks less politics (alright, there will probably be a bit), but this brand-new show will mostly explore personal responsibility, parenting and who should take the blame when things go wrong.
A number of comedians have taken part in a forthcoming programme on offence presented by Trainspotting writer Irvine Welsh.
Geoff Norcott is writing a memoir, Where Did I Go Right?: How The Left Lost Me, to be published by Monoray, part of the Octopus Publishing Group
It tells the story of how he grew up in a Labour household, but ultimately voted Tory and discusses why the working classes have deserted the Left and is described as "warm, honest and laugh out loud funny" and "the perfect place to start if you want to understand why in Britain, blue-collar Conservatism might be here to stay".
Geoff Norcott is doing an online run of a brand-new online stand-up show on August 6/7/8th at 8pm.
It’s called Geoff Norcott’s Front Room Fringe and is both for those who might have been heading up to the Edinburgh Fringe and anyone who fancies some live stand-up in their front room.
Norcott will be tackling hot topics such as cancel culture, statues and the idea that men and women are different (which is somehow controversial again). All delivered online via the miracle of Zoom.
Geoff Norcott is certainly busy at the moment. He's on the final pre-Brexit Question Time on BBC One on Thursday, January 30 and then he is on The Last Leg on Channel 4 on Friday, January 31. Nice to know Brexit is helping at least one person's career!
Geoff Norcott’s Taking Liberties tour has been doubled in size, with 25 new dates added in 2020. “There's been a lot of talk about extensions”, says Geoff, “well, despite my political allegiances I'm delighted with this one.
Brexit-voting stand-up Geoff Norcott goes back to his working-class roots for a new BBC Two documentary. He explores a very peculiar kind of class war in How The Middle Classes Ruined Britain.
In the aftermath of the Brexit vote, Geoff observes how the working class have become visible for the first time in generations, and to some extent feared by the significant, largely law-abiding, yet most derided “avocado eating and Waitrose shopping” sector of society.
Comedian Geoff Norcott has responded to a newspaper's reports of his involvement on a diversity panel.
The Guardian led their story by saying "A Conservative-voting white male comedian has been appointed to the BBC’s diversity and inclusion group, which has the task of ensuring the broadcaster is representative of modern Britain."
