George Logan, who played Dr Evadne Hinge in enduring musical duo Hinge and Bracket has died. He was 78.

Hinge and Bracket – Logan and Patrick Fyffe – had considerable success moving from live performers in venues such as the Vauxhall Tavern to television. They had a successful BBC series, Hinge and Bracket, in the late 1970s and Dear Ladies alongside Gyles Brandreth from 1983 - 1985. They were also regular guests on other shows, known with their distinctive brand of song and repartee.
