New Episode out now. Catch up here.
Some of the UK’s most talented young comics, along with Harry Enfield and Jon Snow, are behind Capital, a new a satirical podcast about civil servants dealing with the fall-out of a referendum that brought back capital punishment with a 51% majority.
After last week’s edition in which David Walliams teamed up with youngish turk Jack Whitehall this week he teams up with oldish master Harry Enfield. And not surprisingly, given Enfield’s sketch comedy pedigree the result is very good indeed and at some points positively brilliant.
Sir Lenny Henry, Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse are among the comedians appearing at a one-off benefit gig to raise money to fight knife crime. The show, organised by educational organisation The Comedy School, takes place at the Eventim Apollo on October 11.
Now this was an odd programme. There’s having your cake and eating it and then there is this. A tribute hosted by the tributees that put the boot into the tributees at the same time, while finally concluding that they are almost godlike.
Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse have confirmed dates for a tour later this year. The Legends! tour starts at the Plymouth Pavilions on October 24 and ends at the Eventim Apollo in London on November 15, and now also just added, November 16.
