Isy suttie
The Women In Comedy Festival returns for a 9th year this October, celebrating women and all who identify as women in comedy.
Comedian/writer Isy Suttie returns to the stage with her brand new show Jackpot, which will tour the UK from September 2022.
Isy’s always searching for adventure in life, but now that she’s a mum with a partner who hates surprises, can she still find it? And why does she need it anyway?
The finalists have been announced for the 2022 WeGotTickets Musical Comedy Awards.
Now in its 14th year, the MCA have helped to launch the likes of Abandoman, Rachel Parris, Mae Martin, Jay Foreman and Frisky and Mannish.
After a long wait (over 4 years) a new series of Isy Suttie's love-themed interview podcast The Things We Do For Love will begin on July 15th.
The new series will include guests guests Jessica Fostekew, Alan Davies, Sian Harries, Paterson Joseph, Bridget Christie, Tom Parry, Margaret Cabourn-Smith, Richard Herring and Jo Brand.
Comedian Isy Suttie has a new novel coming out in July, entitled Jane Is Trying.
Jane is trying.
She's been trying for a baby, with increasing desperation as her thirties sail by.
Now, she's trying to make a new start back home with her overprotective, charades-obsessed parents - having left her career and cheating fiancé behind in London.
After Getting On and Going Forward Damned feels like the third part in a trilogy of gritty state-of-the-nation workplace comedies starring Jo Brand. But in fact this one, set in a childrens social services office, actually predates Going Forward. A one-off pilot went out on Sky Arts in 2014 but for whatever reason it is C4 that has made this six-part series. And I bet it cost them a lot less than The Great British Bake Off.
The usual process is that a comedian does a hit show and gets a book deal out of it. Isy Suttie has done things the other way round. She has a hit book, The Actual One, and has now turned it into a hit show.
