Jenny Eclair
Jenny Eclair is getting some of the best reviews of her career for her latest show, How To Be A Middle-Aged Woman (Without Going Insane).
Jenny Eclair was forced to postpone shows on her current How To Be A Middle Aged Woman (Without Going Insane) tour at the weekend due to illness.
On Saturday she apologised to her fans via Twitter: "I'm on steroids for a chest infection. I was gasping for air on stage last night I'm so sorry everyone - I need to mend."
Performances at the Y in Leicester and the Stables in Milton Keynes were postponed. Tickets will be transferable to the new dates when they are announced.
Update 4/1/16: Jenny Eclair's latest novel Moving has just been chosen as a Richard & Judy Book Club read.
Comedian Jenny Eclair’s latest novel, Moving, is published on July 23. Set in Kennington, Didsbury and Chelsea, it is described as “a novel of family secrets, shocking betrayals and, most of all, home.”
Jenny Eclair is headlining a special exclusive comedy show at London’s iconic OXO Tower to help raise laughs and money for Macmillan Cancer Support. The Grumpy Old Woman will be joined by fellow stand-ups Jason Cook and Mark Davison.
The show takes place on May 19 and to mark the occasion and the partnership between Npower and Macmillan the famous OXO Tower logo will be changed and lit up to read LOL for that one night only.
Jenny Eclair has announced a new UK tour starting on September 25 at Reading South Street and continuing into 2016. The tour is entitled How To Be A Middle-Aged Woman (Without Going Insane).
Bridget Christie broke box office records at the Soho Theatre with her last show A Bic For Her. She is back this week with her latest show, An Ungrateful Woman. It repeats the same smart formula of daft, self-deprecating clownish jokes and hard-hitting feminist politics, so it will be interesting to see if it repeats the same ticket-shifting success. It certainly deserves to.
