The second series of Painting Birds with Jim and Nancy Moir is set to air from 17th April on Sky Arts. This follows the success of series one, which was the most-watched new show for Sky Arts in 2023.
Jools Holland and his close friend, legendary comedian and artist Jim Moir (AKA Vic Reeves), have regrouped and packed their bags to head off together on another series of Jools and Jim’s Joyride – the podcast where they invite a special guest to discuss their favourite travel tales and the trips that shaped who they are today.
Channel 5 have announced that comedian and presenter Jim Moir (also known as Vic Reeves) has a cameo role in the upcoming two episodes of All Creatures Great and Small, the critically acclaimed adaptation based on best-selling author James Herriot’s cherished and iconic collection of stories from BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning production company Playground (Howards End, Wolf Hall).
After an acclaimed stint delving into heritage crafts in The Prince’s Master Crafters, artist, comedian and musician Jim Moir will return to Sky Arts next year to front a brand new series which will see him grab his paintbrushes, don his binoculars and set out across the UK to share one of his greatest passions: watching and painting birds.
Sky Arts is set to spotlight Britain’s rich heritage of traditional crafts with a new series, The Prince’s Master Crafters: The Next Generation, airing later this year. Backed by The Prince’s Foundation, produced by Spun Gold TV and Motion Content Group and hosted by Jim Moir, the series will see a selection of top amateur craftspeople take on a variety of crafting challenges to supercharge their skills before each of them creates a final showcase piece to present to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales in person.
Jim Moir, Jessie Cave, Jordan Stephens, Rose Matafeo, Caryn Franklin and Tomasz Shafernacker will showcase their own artistic flair in a Sky Original Celebrity Landscape Artist of the Year.
The programme will be hosted, as usual, by Stephen Mangan and Joan Bakewell and airs on November 3 ahead of the main series in early 2022.
The programe is part of Sky's range of climate focused content coinciding with COP26.

As part of the season Jim Moir (AKA Vic Reeves, pictured) will join recent graduates from Central Saint Martin’s to stage a Bauhaus takeover in Bauhaus Rules. Over the course of a week, former students from Central Saint Martins, UAL will do things differently as they collaborate with contemporary artists and leading designers in an immersive art experiment to recreate life at the Bauhaus.
Vic Reeves, aka Jim Moir, is to join the cast of Coronation Street. Jim will play television presenter Colin who comes to Weatherfield to film with Norris and Mary after they are chosen to make an appearance on his show. It’s not long before Colin finds himself embroiled in the lives of other street residents.
He will begin filming a three month stint in July. He will be on screen from late summer.
