Just The Tonic
Just the Tonic was one of the first comedy venues to offer COVID safe comedy in summer/autumn 2020. Learning from an event as part of DCMS trial shows, they went on to produce a large number of safe socially distanced, sell out shows featuring the likes of Jimmy Carr, Jason Manford, Rich Hall and may others.
Live stream and on-demand broadcasting will continue for Just The Tonic Comedy Club’s viewers this year - after it secured funding via the Government’s #HereForCulture movement.
The financial support was awarded to Just The Tonic by Arts Council England on behalf of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. It is part of the government’s £1.57bn package for UK culture and heritage.
In response to venues being closed on New Year’s Eve - Working From Home: Good Riddance 2020 from Just The Tonic has been announced featuring some of the best comedians in the UK including Romesh Ranganathan, Al Murray & John Thompson. Expect to see a mixture of live comedy, prerecorded bits, chats, sketches and silly stuff
One of the most esteemed comedy clubs across the UK, Just the Tonic is attempting to bring back the comedy club experience to millions of people currently doing the right thing by staying at home with new LIVE comedy night via the newly launched Just the Tonic TV.
One of the UK’s most famous comedy clubs celebrates the launch of their new venue in Leamington Spa with comedians Andrew O’Neill, Guz Khan, Matt Richardson and Reginald D Hunter on Sat 8 February. And the venue carries on with a bang, with a top of the crop line-up already booked over the next few months, with names including Daliso Chaponda, Diane Spencer, Gary Delaney, Hal Cruttenden, Lou Conran and Paul Foot.
