Lazy Susan
There has been a fantastic surge of strong female comedy in the last few years. Most recently we've had Liz Kingsman bossing it with a live show that has had five stars across the board and must surely be heading to our screens in some form. Then were was Britney, the duo who turned a show about having a brain tumour into a hilariously surreal BBC one-off, with more episodes surely to come.
Following its debut as a Comedy Short in 2020, the eagerly awaited series of critically-lauded BBC comedy sketch show Lazy Susan is set to premiere on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer at 10.15pm on the channel launch night, 1st February, with all four episodes available on iPlayer afterwards.

Made by Tiger Aspect (part of Banijay UK) the series has just finished shooting on location in Watford. Also released today is a first-look image and the supporting cast has been revealed from the forthcoming new series.
BBC Comedy has announced two brand new sketch show series and one returning series.
Following their critically acclaimed pilots last year for BBC Three, both Ellie & Natasia and Lazy Susan will return for a full series run. Also, Famalam, the comedy sketch show where no area of the universe is off limits, will return later this year for a third series with a brand new addition to the cast in Danielle Vitalis (pictured, solo).
This review first appeared in the Evening Standard here. Following their successful run they've now added a big gig at the Leicester Square Theatre on February 22.
#MeToo is a watershed for the arts, and comedy is responding loud and clear. I don’t mean to put two young female comedians alongside the hashtag without good grounds, but Lazy Susan want to take us there themselves, handling a heavy matter with their signature light touch, plus a lot of laughs.
