Michael McInytyre
Michael McIntyre's new show Showman was recorded back in March before lockdown. It takes in Australia, being chubby, remembering passwords, accents and dogs. He can even get away with a gag about the Titanic which is so old it would have sunk lesser comedians. There are lots of nice callbacks too, underlining that he is a comedy craftsman as well as a showman.

Nobody would say that Michael McIntyre is a particularly prescient stand-up, but this special, recorded in March at the London Palladium just before lockdown, contains not one but two jokes involving face masks. Typical. You wait ages for a joke about PPE and then discover MM was doing them before they were a thing without even realising it.
The show will see the return of series favourites such as the hilarious Send To All which will see nervous celebrities handing over their mobile phones.
Superstar comedian Michael McIntyre has become the latest victim of moped crime.
According to a BBC report the host of Michael McIntyre's Big Show was waiting in his car outside his son's school at lunchtime on Monday when a moped with two men on it pulled up next to him, smashed his car window with a hammer, stole his watch and drove off.
McIntyre's publicist says that he is fine. His current Big World tour will continue as planned.
To mark the publication of Comedy and Distinction: The Cultural Currency of a “Good” Sense of Humour, the London School Of Economics Sociology Department is holding a book launch.
