Phoenix Nights
To celebrate 19 years since Phoenix Nights first aired on Channel 4 both series of Peter Kay’s classic comedy are being shown on the big screen for the very first time.
All net profits are in aid of Cancer Research UK and all the screenings will include exclusively recorded cast interviews.
Come on down to the Phoenix Club one last time to see Brian Potter, Jerry ‘the saint’ St Clair, Les Alanos, Max & Paddy and all the gang.
Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights, which took over Manchester Arena last month, has raised £5,031,146.47 for Comic Relief. This is the most money raised by a live comedy show in the world.
The live version of the classic TV series ran for 15 performances. On the first night Ted Robbins collapsed onstage but he is now back at work.
Extra tickets have been released for the final six shows of Phoenix Nights Live at the Manchester Arena in aid of Comic Relief. These dates include the Sunday matinee which was added for ticket holders who went to the show that had to be postponed when Ted Robbins collapsed onstage.
The show has received rapturous applause from audiences and rave reviews, with the Manchester Evening News giving the show 5 stars.
The shows have sold over 195,000 tickets with all profits going to Comic Relief.
Update February 4 from promoters SJM Concerts:
"Following the unfortunate cancellation of Saturday’s show part way through the second act, the cast and crew have been working hard to try and reschedule the event to enable ticket holders to watch the show in its entirety. After much investigation a matinee performance of Phoenix Nights Live will now take place on Sunday 15th February with doors opening at 1.00pm and show starting at 2.30pm.
