With the first of their comedy shows now on sale, Pleasance’s Edinburgh Fringe programme features top names and exciting newcomers. There will also be innovative reinterpretations of works by household favourites including Roald Dahl and Shakespeare. Further shows will also be released online for audiences to enjoy.
Pleasance London is to present a season of in-person performances featuring Fringe favourites alongside emerging and thrilling artists that will run alongside the Pleasance’s Edinburgh programme. News of the venue’s Edinburgh Fringe programme will be announced shortly.
More than 50 comedy and theatre shows have been announced as part of Fringe Futures Festival, a brand new festival of live work-in-progress shows presented by the Pleasance and VAULT Creative Arts running from Monday 24th May – Friday 25th June 2021.

For the first time in 36 years, the gates are locked and the Pleasance Courtyard is empty. 280 shows have been cancelled, over 1,000 performers have been affected, countless experiences have been lost. The consequences have been devastating, both on and off the stage.

Reginald D Hunter (pictured, bottom)celebrates his 20th year on the Fringe with his highly anticipated new show. Reginald’s searingly honest brand of comedy is one of the many highlights of a much-expanded programme at Pleasance at EICC, which promises the very best in comedy, circus and theatre, all under one state-of-the-art roof.
The Pleasance Theatre Trust celebrated 33 years at Venue 33 and the 70th anniversary of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August with 5074 performances of 258 shows in 27 venues.
Ticket sales were up every day of the Festival compared to 2016 with total ticket sales up by 5 per cent compared to 2016 (12 per cent including the tickets sold for EICC shows).
