Pugh
Comedian Josh Pugh is in the line-up of Richard Osman's Gouse of Games this week alongside Will Bayley, Montell Douglas and Giovanna Fletcher. You should make note of Pugh because you are going to be hearing a lot more about him in the future.
Filming has started in the West Midlands for Stepping Up, a brand-new six-part comedy series written by and starring Josh Pugh (Sneakerhead, How Are You? It's Alan (Partridge)), directed by Jack Clough (People Just Do Nothing, Things You Should Have Done) and produced by Roughcut Television (Big Boys, We Might Regret This, Things You Should Have Done) for Channel 4.
Channel 4 has announced new comedy sitcom Stepping Up, a six-part series set to deliver an original take on the modern family dynamic.
From Roughcut Television (Big Boys, We Might Regret This, Things You Should Have Done), Stepping Up is written by and stars Josh Pugh (Sneakerhead, Live at the Apollo), who plays… Josh: an over-enthusiastic stepdad bringing well intentioned chaos to his new - and previously harmonious - family unit.
I Am Darren takes the form of a premium sports documentary telling the story of a fictional, paralympic tandem cyclist, Darren (played by Channel 4 Paralympics co-host and comedian Josh Pugh) who won British hearts and minds at the Tokyo Games but failed spectacularly at the final hurdle, and now he’s making his comeback.
The ten-minute comedy is a parody of overblown, high-end sports documentaries with a ‘road to Paris 2024’ story, coming to BBC Three and iPlayer.
