Kev Mud has been crowned winner at The UK Pun Championships. The final took place at De Montfort Hall as part of this year's Leicester Comedy Festival.
Joining Kev in the ring were: returning contestant Daniel Edison as well as new contenders Kat Dellar, Adam Dorr, Bennet Kavanagh, Kev Mud, Mary Cross, Pauline Eyre and Rabiah Coon. The event was hosted by Jason Byrne.
The UK Pun Championships Final has taken place at De Montfort Hall as part of the Leicester Comedy Festival.
Eight punsters reached the knockout final and competed against each other in a wrestling ring compered by Jason Byrne (pictured).
The eight finalists were: Ben Emmett, Cosmic Kat, Daniel Edison, Geoff Alderman, Kat Molinari, Lee Brace, Pauline Eyre and Stevie Vegas.
And the comedian crowned winner was Lee Brace, who pipped Daniel Edison in the final.

Over 30 comedians have donated jokes which appear in a new book, edited by Geoff Rowe and Leicester Comedy Festival, due to be published later this year. “All Puns Blazing” is a brilliant tribute to that most British of jokes, the humble pun.
The finalists have been announced for the UK Pun Championships 2019, which will take place at the Leicester Comedy Festival on UK PunDay.
