Why did you want to do Champion of Champions?
It was just so nice to do. There was a little bit of pressure off in terms of doing the tasks because it overwhelms you when you're doing it for the series and you're so nervous about messing up.
CHEERFUL EARFUL is a new comedy podcast festival coming to London this Autumn. The first of its kind in the UK, it's a celebration of funny shows, big and small. Audiences will have the opportunity to watch their favourite podcasts live, as well as discovering new shows.
A number of classic and cult comedies are to be broadcast on Radio 4 Extra as part of a season exploring the legacy of the 1990s, including early shows from Stewart Lee and Richard Herring and The League of Gentlemen.
As part of What Really Happened in the Nineties?, from May 7 - 13 each night at 11pm, Comedy Club host Jon Holmes goes retro to remind us how each series came about and to assess their comedic influence and legacy, as many later moved to TV.
The full line-up for Slapstick 2022 is now complete with tickets for all events, including the newly-finalised silents-rich programme at Watershed, available to book via www.slapstick.org.uk from 10am tomorrow (Tuesday 15th).

Richard Herring has revealed that he has just been to hospital to have one of his testicles removed.
The current Taskmaster champion had the operation under general anaesthetic early on Wednesday morning at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage.
Herring had "noticed it was a bit odd in January" and after visiting his GP the decision was taken to remove the testicle two weeks ago. It will now be checked for any sign of cancer but the hope is that even if there is the problem has now been resolved.
Richard Herring is on a roll at the moment, having just filmed a part in a new indie movie and - spoiler alert – won the latest series of Taskmaster.
Richard Herring has been crowned champion of Taskmaster.
He beat off stiff competition in the first series broadcast on Channel 4 (it was formerly on Dave) from Daisy May Cooper from This Country, Johnny Vegas, Mawaan Rizwan and Katherine Parkinson.
