Comedians Giving Lectures, hosted by Sara Pascoe, is returning to Dave for two brand new series. The UKTV Original series, produced by 12 Yard Productions, was one of the top performing commissions on Dave in 2019 attracting an audience of over half a million.
Sara Pascoe said: "I love hosting the show, mainly to see my peers trying to be clever and failing hilariously."
While the mainstream channels seemed hooked on the ageing panel show template Dave has certainly come up with some innovative vehicles for comedians. Obviously their best one is Taskmaster, but they've also had Hypothetical and Jon Richardson's Ultimate Worrior. And now here's a new format fronted by Sara "can do no wrong" Pascoe.
Sara Pascoe hosts this new series in which comedians are given the titles of real lectures and invited to give their own version of that lecture. The first episode features Nish Kumar, Natasia Demetriou & Tom Allen. Nish’s lecture is ‘10 Ways the World Could End’, Natasia’s is ‘Anatomy of the Vagina’ and Tom’s is ‘Why We Make Bad Decisions’. All three lectures are judged by an expert and then the audience help to decide the winner by voting for their favourite lecture.
