Actor Christopher Beeny, who was most famous for his role in ITV drama Upstairs, Downstairs as footman Edward has died. He was 78.
His son Rick Blackman broke the news on social media, posting an announcement on Twitter: "I have some sad news to impart. On friday 3rd of January my old dad Christopher Beeny died at his home in Kent. He was 78. Comforted to know he was not alone at the end and was in his armchair."
Jean Fergusson, who played Marina in Last of the Summer Wine, has died. She was 74.
Fergusson played Marina for 25 years in 216 episodes
Fergusson also appeared in Coronation Street, All Creatures Great & Small, Doctors, Crossroads and The Practice.
She was born on December 20, 1944 in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and was nominated for an Olivier Award in 1998 for playing legendary comedian Hylda Baker in the stage show She Knows You Know!
