Phil Wang is joining the judging panel of BBC Two’s Great British Menu, replacing Ed Gamble. The cookery competition for the very best professional chefs has been filming the latest series in Stratford upon Avon and will return to screens in February 2026.
He was a guest judge for series 16 - Science & Invention.

Phil Wang is to host the 21st BAFTA Games Awards, the world’s most prestigious annual celebration of excellence and creative achievement in games, taking place on Tuesday 8 April 2025.
Following a world tour, his critically-acclaimed debut Netflix special, David Letterman appearance, and dancing on a table with Timothée Chalamet in Wonka, Phil Wang is set to release his second Netflix Original stand-up special Wang in There, Baby! on the 3rd September.
Phil Wang is set to record two final performances of Wang In There, Baby!, at London’s only candlelit theatre, the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare’s Globe, on Friday 26th April at 6pm and 8.30pm.
Wang In There, Baby! is a show about being British, being Asian, and being a silly little Phillly.
