Bill Bailey Joins Worzel Gummidge For Christmas

Bill Bailey joins the cast of Worzel Gummidge this Christmas. The rebooted scarecrow played by Mackenzie Crook stars in two one hour specials. Bailey plays Mr Peregrine and Nneka Okoye plays Calliope Jane.

The two brand new one-hour films are directed, created and star Mackenzie Crook: Twitchers and Calliope Jane - inspired by the classic books by Barbara Euphan Todd.

News: Worzel Gummidge To Return

Following the 2019 adaptation of Worzel Gummidge, a third new one-hour film will be screened on BBC One later this year, titled Saucy Nancy.

Mackenzie Crook has written another beautifully crafted and magical episode, inspired by the classic books by Barbara Euphan Todd, which he will direct and star in, bringing a world of adventure to all the family.
