Channel 4 has shared a collection of first look images for upcoming comedy series, Big Mood, produced by Fremantle’s Dancing Ledge Productions.
Written and created by Camilla Whitehill, Big Mood is a vivacious and rebellious portrayal of female friendship when infiltrated by the complexities of a serious mental illness. The six-part series will be available to watch and stream on Channel 4 in 2024.
Channel 4 has commissioned a new comedy thriller, How To Get To Heaven From Belfast, from the writer and creator of the critically-acclaimed and multi-award-winning Derry Girls.
This year’s Broadcasting Press Guild Awards have just been announced. Channel 4’s Derry Girls has won Best Comedy plus Best Writer for Lisa McGee and the stars of BBC One’s This Is Going to Hurt - Ben Whishaw and Ambika Mod - have won Best Actor and Best Actress.
On the first show of the new year (6th January), Graham welcomes The Tourist and Belfast star Jamie Dornan, Happy Valley actor James Norton, Oscar nominated Sophie Okonedo, actor and presenter Siobhán McSweeney, and chart-topping singer Lewis Capaldi.
Fans of Derry Girls are set to be treated to a special episode of the hugely celebrated and much-loved series in the last ever instalment of the series. Dealing with a key moment in Northern Irish history, the Good Friday Agreement vote, the extended episode running over 45-minutes will air the same week as the third and final series comes to a close on Channel 4.

Siobhán McSweeney, one of the stars of Channel 4’s Derry Girls, had never set foot in Northern Ireland before filming the hit comedy show. After falling in love with the landscape she now wants to explore more of the lakes, mountains, coastline and forests for a new four-part series for More 4 from Belfast-based Waddell Media.
Exploring Northern Ireland with Siobhán McSweeney is supported by Tourism Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland.
The South Bank Sky Arts Awards 2019 have been handed out and hit C4 series Derry Girls has picked up the Comedy prize.
