London venue 2Northdown has held the final of their fourth annual New Act Competition. John Tothill took home the title of 2Northdown’s New Act Competition Winner 2022 as well as £500 prize money, a trophy, a complimentary 1-hour show at 2Northdown, a paid spot at sister venue 21Soho and much more. Adam Flood was runner-up, and Kyrah Gray came in third place.
2Northdown has launched its fourth New Act Competition, kicking off in September 2022, following Dee Allum’s victory last year. Other 2021 finalists included Vidura Rajapaksa, Jack Chisnall, Sally Ann Fellowes & Paddy Young. The competition is open to all types of comedy, with sketch, character and alternative acts encouraged to apply.

King's Cross comedy venue 2Northdown has launched a crowdfunder campaign to help get it through the Covid-19 Crisis.
The venue has staged some of the best intimate gigs in London since it took over the space that was previously run by Invisible Dot (who also put on some brilliant gigs there – it's a great space, albeit it one with the toilets on either side of the stage).
They hope to raise £8000.
London-based comedian Leo Reich is the winner of this year's 2Northdown New Act competition. He wins £500, a trophy, a free preview spot, a paid spot on one of 2Northdown’s Monthly gigs plus more.
Canadian Comedian Erika Ehler was runner up. Third place was Bella Hull.
TicketText Group (TTG), the company behind London King’s Cross comedy venue 2Northdown and ticketing operator TicketText, have announced the launch of Laughing Around, a production company specialising in live comedy that will create original digital content.
