The Stand has launched their new and improved website, making it easier to buy tickets for even more huge names in comedy and beyond that will join their Fringe 2023 roster. Most are available to buy from right now, and others from Thursday May 11th alongside EdFringe.com’s third batch release of tickets.
Fresh off the back of a sold-out run and the highest of critical acclaim at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, the political godfather of UK comedy, Mark Thomas, is back to what he does best; taking down politicians, mucking about, new ideas and finding hope.
In his latest show 50 Things About Us, Mark Thomas combines his trademark mix of storytelling, stand-up, mischief and really, really well researched material to examine how we have come to inhabit this divided wasteland that some of us call the United Kingdom.
Mark Thomas will be live streaming his acclaimed show The Red Shed this Thursday at 7.30pm.
the performance will be followed by a Q&A. The live elements of the show will be BSL Interpreted, and the recorded elements will have subtitles.
Romesh Ranganathan, Jack Whitehall and Russell Howard are among the comedians who have recently teamed up with one of their parents to form an unlikely cross-generational double act. Now Mark Thomas has done it, but typically for Thomas he has done it in a very different way, making serious points as well as getting laughs in his new podcast, Mark Thomas’s Lockdown Check-Up, in which he co-stars with his octogenarian mother.
Mark Thomas' third Lockdown Livestream comes in the form of his award-winning Serious Organised Criminal, coming to your living room on Thursday 9th July, 7:30pm. After the show there will be a live update followed by a Q&A. The show will be captioned alongside BSL.

Comedian, satirist and campaigner Mark Thomas has added a new string to his bow. He has been ordained by an internet church. It was something he did in preparation for a forthcoming show.
When Brighton resident Jennifer Goatley found out, she happened to be considering renewing her wedding vows with her husband, comedian Aidan Goatley. So they asked Thomas if he woukd officiate when they had their vows renewed and to their absolute delight he said yes.
