Clive Swift, the actor best known for playing Hyacinth Bucket's husband Richard in Keeping Up Appearances, has ded. He was 82.

Swift played the role in the hit BBC One sitcom for six years opposite Dame Patricia Routledge.

As well as being a respected stage actor he also appeared in many more screen roles including programmes such as Dr Who, Peak Practice, Born and Bred and the sitcom with Roger Lloyd Pack, The Old Guys.
