BBC Director of Comedy Jon Petrie has today unveiled 10 new and returning shows reinforcing the BBC’s commitment to original comedy content across the UK.
Speaking at the festival, taking place this week at the BBC’s City of Comedy, Cardiff, Jon confirmed:
David Mitchell will return in his mission to see if comedians have the mettle to survive in a post-apocalyptic society, in a new series of David Mitchell’s Outsiders (6x60'). Produced by Wall to Wall for Dave and UKTV Play, the new series will air later this year.
The broadcast date has been revealed for the new series of Outsiders. David Mitchell will challenge a brand new set of comedians to prove they can fend for themselves and demonstrate they have the skills to set up a new society in the wild from November 16 at 10pm on Dave.
The comedians taking part in series two of Outsiders are Maisie Adam, Fatiha El-Ghorri, Darren Harriott, Jessica Hynes, Phil Wang and Joe Wilkinson.
