Edinburgh Sketch Group Takes the Biscuit And Partners With Food Project

Ahead of their Edinburgh Fringe show 'Not Another 69-Sketch Show' starting its run at Gilded Balloon next month, sketch group Biscuit Barrel have announced that they will be partnering with Edinburgh Food Project throughout the festival.
 
Audiences can contribute to the Edinburgh Food Project thanks to post-performance bucket collections and make a real difference to those struggling to afford the essentials.
 
The organisation supports seven foodbanks across the city.

Gilded Balloon Announces New Charity Partner For Fringe 2024

Edinburgh venue Gilded Balloon has unveiled a new charity partner for Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2024, joining forces with Scottish charity Waverley Care this August for their legendary Pink Wednesday event. The new partnership will see Gilded Balloon raise vital funds for Waverley Care throughout the month and specifically on 2024’s Pink Wednesday (7th August) - a fun-filled day of ticket discounts, fancy dress and competitions in aid of charity.

More Shows Added To Gilded Balloon Edinburgh Fringe Schedule

The Gilded Balloon have revealed their full line-up for 2024’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, adding huge names including Jack Docherty (pictired) taking on Scot Squad’s The Chief, sketches and stand-up from Paul Black, brand new comedy play Chemo Savvy in tribute to the late Andy Gray,  live comedy podcast The Guilty Feminist, Kim Blythe’s Fringe debut, a trip down Scottish musical history in Broadside Ballads and more.

This year, Gilded Balloon, the Fringe’s original home of comedy, will welcome audiences to two dynamic and well-loved venue hubs throughout August: Patter House and the National Museum of Scotland. So You Think You're Funny? Final – Full Results

The winner of the 36th edition of the iconic So You Think You’re Funny? - the UK’s most prestigious comedy newcomer competition – has been announced. Samira Banks is this year's winner.

Chris Donovan and Lizzie Norm came second and third place respectively, with each performer ensuring fans at the final enjoyed an evening of laughter following over 400 initial applicants for the competition.

So You Think You’re Funny? Finalists Announced

Gilded Balloon’s So You Think You’re Funny? has today announced 10 finalists, instead of its usual 9. After months of regional showcases and competitions heats at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, a panel of judges conferred to decide on a 10-strong finalist line-up, for the first time in years.

Gilded Balloon Launches Edinburgh Fringe ‘Support the Artist’ Scheme,

Fringe venue Gilded Balloon has announced a new ‘Support the Artist’ scheme, introduced for 2023. Designed to extend the support offered to performers faced with growing costs at the Festival, Gilded Balloon’s Support the Artist initiative will allow customers to add an additional £2 to each ticket, going directly to the artist.
