Glasgow International Comedy Festival (GICF) has revealed the first acts for 2025’s event as Scotland’s biggest dedicated comedy festival gets set to celebrate Glasgow as the ‘funniest city in the world’ from 12th - 30th March 2025.

Record Breaking Year For Glasgow International Comedy Festival

Glasgow International Comedy Festival (GICF) has revealed 2024’s edition was a record-breaking year, with the highest number of shows in the festival’s history as Glasgow became ‘the funniest city in the world’. Hosting over 560 shows across 19 days, GICF issued over 50,000 tickets to comedy fans in more than 50 venues across the city, from the East End to West End and more. Organisers have now revealed 2025’s dates below.

Susie McCabe has been named as the winner of the second Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award announced at Glasgow International Comedy Festival’s (GICF) Comedy Gala, following an afternoon celebrating the very best of the festival at the city’s King’s Theatre. The award honours criteria both the city of Glasgow and Sir Billy Connolly represent from resilience to openness and of course, a sense of humour.

Launch Date Announced for Glasgow Comedy Club

The Glasgow Comedy Club, backed by the team behind Max's Bar and Room 2, has announced its launch date and teased some exciting plans ahead of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival. 

Set in the room played by Kevin Bridges & Susie McCabe in recent years, Max's Basement, the club is set to launch on Wednesday 30th November hosted by resident MC and Scottish Compere of the Year, Billy Kirkwood.
