Scottish comedian Hamish Tennant has died.

The comic, dubbed the "godfather of Glasgow comedy" had been ill for a while. Late last year a crowdfunding campaign was set up for him as he was mainly housebound and unable to gig.

Fellow comedian Stu Henderson posted this touching tribute on Facebook: "My FB pal and comedian, Hamish Tennant, had been seriously ill and in hospital for some time, and yesterday I received the devastating news that he died, as Sepsis had taken over and they had stopped all medication
