Now that series seven of Inside No 9 has finished it's possible to look at which were the most popular episodes according to beyond the joke.
This is not scientific, but based on the number of page impressions. No articles were full reviews as we didn't want to give away any spoilers. And it is possible that fans clicked on links just to see what we thought of episodes, not because they were their favourite episodes.
The BBC has confirmed that Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith’s critically acclaimed and BAFTA-award winning anthology series Inside No. 9 will return for series eight and nine as twelve brand new episodes are commissioned and will once again be made by BBC Studios Comedy Productions.
The announcement comes following the series seven finale Wise Owl (pictured).
My time in various lockdowns over the past year has certainly not been completely frittered away. I may not have baked any banana bread or mastered a foreign language, but I did something much more fruitful. I watched every episode of Inside No 9 anthology forerunner Tales of the Unexpected, the old ITV series – now available on Sky Arts - that took its cue from the twisted imagination of Roald Dahl.

Sowerbutts was a character in the Pemberton/Shearsmith series Psychoville, but then surprised Inside No 9 fans with a chilling cameo in the episode Death Be Not Proud.
Steve Pemberton tweeted a link to this clip below and added: "Some pretty strong eractions to series 6 trailer..."
