News: Lady Windermere's Fan To Get Screening

There is to be a live cinema broadcast of Kathy Burke’s critically acclaimed new production of Lady Windermere’s Fan on Tuesday 20 March 2018, 7.15pm. Oscar Wilde’s social comedy is the second in the Classic Spring Theatre Company’s year-long Oscar Wilde Season at the Vaudeville Theatre and will be broadcast live by satellite to 420 cinemas across the UK and Ireland.

News: Jennifer Saunders To Star In West End Play

Jennifer Saunders is to appear in the West End for the first time in over a decade.

She will star in Lady Windermere's Fan by Oscar Wilde. It will be directed by Kathy Burke and will run at the Vaudeville Theatre as part of a 12-month season of Oscar Wilde productions.

The Ab Fab star will play the Duchess of Berwick. Kevin Bishop, who is about to appear in the BBC's reboot of Porridge, will play Lord Darlington, while Samantha Spiro will play Mrs Erlynne.

News: French & Saunders Reunite to Receive Slapstick Festival Award

Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders reunited last night at the Colston Hall in Bristol to receive Aardman Slapstick Comedy Legend Awards.

The event was the Bristol Slapstick Festival's fastest selling event. Also pictured are Mel Giedroyc and Dame June Whitfield, who paid tribute to the duo in person.

Messages of congratulations also came from, among others, Barry Cryer, Miranda Hart, Griff Rhys Jones, Matt Lucas and Ruby Wax.

It must be a laugh-a-minute in their house. That was the inevitable first thought when I heard yesterday that Sarah Millican and Gary Delaney had tied the knot. My second thought was congratulations. My third thought was that I wouldn't have liked to have been the best man. No pressure on that speech then.
