Lee
Following his 2024 show at a packed Tyne Theatre in Newcastle, South Shields comedian Lee Kyle (“Gloriously Funny” - The Independent) will be taking his next show ‘Bottle It’ on tour throughout the North of England and into Scotland in early 2025.
The show will take him to Newcastle’s Tyne Theatre, The Stand Comedy Clubs in Edinburgh and Glasgow, Hot Water Comedy Club in Liverpool and a number of other theatres and arts centres.
Stewart Lee played a surprise gig last night - fronting a band.
Lee temporarily teamed up with The Girl With The Replaceable Head, who are currently on a short UK tour. The band features Lindy Morrison, a member of legendary Australian indie band The Go-Betweens, on drums.
Lee joined them on vocals on the Go-Betweens song Eight Pictures from the 1982 album Send Me A Lullaby.
There is no suggestion that Lee will be giving up his stand up career or that he is going through a mid-life crisis.
It didn't take me long to decide who my Comedian of the Year 2023 was. I just had to think about the last few day's viewing. Southport-born Lee Mack has starred in programmes I've watched on three consecutive nights. Not Going Out's 100th episode and two episodes of his quiz The 1% Club.
