Freshly married, living in London and now a British citizen, Italian Luca Cupani is enjoying a new lease of life.
But it wasn’t always that way. Cupani tried and failed to leave Italy many times. However his family obligations got in the way of his bid for freedom.
He builds his show around the fact he now finds himself a Happy Orphan.
Italian comic Luca Cupani has won plenty of fans for his hilarious confessional style, since first stumbling into the Edinburgh Fringe as a visitor in 2014.
He won the Gilded Balloon contest for new comics So You Think You’re Funny? in 2015 and has since been invited to the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and San Francisco International Comedy Competition.
Tis the season to win comedy competitions in London. There was a final last weekend, this one this weekend and at least two more next weekend. By the end of December if you haven’t won a competition maybe you need to have a rethink or work harder.
