Olaf Falafel
Comedian, Dave’s Joke of the Fringe winner, author and illustrator, Olaf Falafel has started a weekly 30-minute Art Club to entertain kids during lockdown.
Like his fellow comedians, Olaf’s live work has completely dried up because of Coronavirus.
UKTV’s award-winning entertainment channel Dave has announced the winner of the twelfth annual Dave’s Funniest Joke of the Fringe award.
Swedish comedian Olaf Falafel has returned to the Fringe this year via outer space. At least I think that's why he emerges from a D-I-Y pod onstage to the theme from Kubrick's 2001. Or maybe he is just having a laugh. Or should that be having an Olaf?
This master of the idiot one liner joke can always be relied upon to tickle your funny bones. His latest show is packed with verbal gags, visual gags, prop-based gags, anything really that will deliver a harmless, largely smut-free giggle.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1969 moon landing and to promote the launch of his new book It’s One Giant Leek For Mankind, stand up comedian, author and illustrator Olaf Falafel is embarking on a dangerous mission of his own – staging workshops at 50 schools in the UK over 50 days!
The 4th annual Comedy Poster Awards took place last night, Sunday 26th August, at the Gilded Balloon Wine Bar.
The ceremony was hosted by 2016 Panel Award winner Lou Sanders, with comedian Andrew McCelland DJing the exclusive after-party.
Sometimes you just need a stupid, silly show. Something to get you through the soggy, grey dog days of the Edinburgh Fringe. In which case Olaf Falafel's There's No i In Idiot is just the thing. There is nothing about dead dads, nothing about Trump, nothing about #metoo. Unless his fanciful story about his life being saved by benevolent dolphins is some kind of elaborate metaphor for the world today.
Comedian Olaf Falafel's latest children's book is published today. Old MacDonald Heard A Parp from the Past is published by Harper Collins.
Comedian and illustrator Olaf Falafel has
had a good year. He landed a book deal in record time following a Tweet and having
been working hard on his next publication (see below) he is now coming back to the Edinburgh Fringe with another hour of absurdist stories, one-liners and oddball quickfire film clips.
