The CHEERFUL EARFUL Podcast Festival, the first ever comedy podcast festival, will return to London this Autumn with some of the UK’s biggest and most beloved comedy pods performing live.
The London Podcast Festival – now in its eighth year – will take place from 7-17 September. Kings Place is the UK’s home of live podcasting, having presented live podcast shows since 2010 before the launch of the London Podcast Festival in 2016 which was Europe’s first major podcast festival.
Esteemed comedy academic Dr Oliver Double has launched a new podcast. Each episode features a long-form interview with a comedian in which they discuss their craft, their unique contribution to the stand-up scene and the joys and challenges of their comedy careers.
Interviewees so far include Charmian Hughes, who talks about her ever-evolving career from the 1980s to today and Ray Campbell, who discusses his experience of performing political stand-up and talks about racism and sexism in the comedy world.
Kings Place announces the first wave of events for the 2022 London Podcast Festival, which runs from 8-19 September. The festival brings together some of the biggest names in podcasting with listeners and aspiring podcasters alongside an unrivalled line-up of live podcasts, affordable workshops, meet and greets and panel discussions.
Now entering its sixth year, the British Podcast Awards has a history of highlighting the true breadth of UK podcasting. Previous big winners have included George the Poet, Chris and Rosie Ramsey, David Walliams, Deborah Frances-White and Greg James with podcasts ranging from My Dad Wrote A Porno and Dear Joan and Jericha to Brown Girls Do It Too and The Guardian’s Today in Focus.
Stars of the world’s biggest podcasts from Acast Creator Network including Off Menu, My Dad Wrote A Porno, Football Ramble, The Guilty Feminist and Dan Snow’s History Hit have mashed their shows together for a podcast mash-up series, to help raise life changing money for Red Nose Day 2022 (this Friday, March 18).
The sixth annual London Podcast Festival is back at the UK’s home of live podcasting, Kings Place London, from 2 - 12 September.

More Podcasts have been added to the bill of Podcast Stop, the new Podcast Festival for London. Podcast Stop will take place in 2021 at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in February and March 2021.
The latest additions to the Podcast Stop include Daniel Sloss and Kai Humphries On The Road on February 14 (pictured) – the two comedians have done the show in Europe but never in the UK.
