Date Confirmed for Series Three Of Rose Matafeo's Starstruck

Series three of BAFTA nominated comedian, writer, actor and director Rose Matafeo’s critically acclaimed romcom Starstruck will launch on the BBC this month. The global hit show is set to air in weekly double bills from 10pm on Monday 28th August on BBC Three, and 10pm on Friday 1st September on BBC One, along with a box set drop on BBC iPlayer on Monday 28th August where the first two series of Starstruck have received over 8.2m requests on BBC iPlayer so far.

Nominees Announced For South Bank Show Arts Awards

The South Bank Sky Arts Awards – the first and only awards ceremony to celebrate every genre of the arts, including Dance, Theatre, Pop, TV Drama, Film, Classical Music, Literature, Opera, Comedy and Visual Art – returns on Sunday 10 July. The ceremony, presented by Melvyn Bragg, will take place at The Savoy Hotel and will air on Wednesday 13 July at 10pm on Sky Arts, the UK’s only free-to-air TV channel dedicated to arts, music and culture.

Starstruck, Brassic, Jerk, Meet The Richardsons, Ladhood and The Stand Up Sketch Show are nominated for Best Comedy Programme in the Broadcast Digital Awards.

Meet The Richardson is also nominated in another category, Gamechanger Programme of the Year, alongside Annika, Expedition with Steve Blackshall, The Daily Climate Show, The Hundred and Royal Bastard: Rise of the Tudors.

Nigel Ng's East Mode, Zen School of Motoring and Lucy Pearman's Please Help are nominated in the Best Short Form Scripted Category.

On Saturday Jason Manford hosts a new ITV entertainment show which has been described as a rebooted Stars In Their Eyes, but first comes Rose Matafeo's winning romcom sitcom – and Matafeo definitely came first, this is the second series.
