Tickets are now on sale for the first Comedy Weekender to be held at Salt and Tar, Bootle’s brand-new events space.
Merseyside comedian Chris McCausland (pictured) will feature alongside Patrick Monahan and Nina Gilligan in the curtain-raising Comedy Night on Friday 26th May.
Jason Byrne, Jo Caulfield and Scott Bennett will perform at the venue over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th May.
Jason Byrne has announced his new UK tour, UNBLOCKED, which hits the road this autumn. The tour will kick off on 15 September at The Stand in Newcastle, following a run at the Edinburgh Festival in August. Jason will then play a further 30 dates around the UK, before culminating at The Lowry in Salford on 27 November.

ZOO, Gilded Balloon, Traverse Theatre and Dance Base have announced a full programme for MultiStory, a new Edinburgh Fringe venue for 2021. Based in the city centre at the NCP Castle Terrace Car Park, this new outdoor venue overlooking Edinburgh Castle will host comedy, theatre, dance, family, music and poetry performances from 6-29 August this summer.

His "You Can Come In But Don't Start Anything" tour will start on 27 September at Colchester Arts Centre and will currently finish at the Old Market in Hove on November 18.
The tour will also include three nights at the Leicester Square Theatre from November 15 - 17.
