Art-loving comedian Joe Lycett will be presenting a special programme looking at the stories behind the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition.
The programme, entitled Joe Lycett: Summer Exhibitionist, will be broadcast on BBC Two on Saturday 23 July, 8pm.
A fan was so offended by a joke in Joe Lycett's current touring show that he complained to the police. The police did their duty and contacted Joe Lycett. The comedian has explained what happened in the following statement:
"Someone came to my tour show a few weeks back and was offended by one of the jokes. And their perfectly understandable response was... to call the fucking police.
To mark Channel 4’s Proud All Over programming celebrating 50 Years of Pride in the UK, Joe Lycett is hosting a big queer party, live from his Birmingham hometown. The two-hour inclusive spectacular, which will form the climax of the Pride season, will see the comedian and consumer warrior celebrating all things LGBTQ+ alongside a whole host of famous faces.
The date has been confirmed for the new series of Travel Man. This will be the first full series hosted by Joe Lycett following a Christmas special in Iceland (the country not the shop) with Bill Bailey.
Joe Lycett's live Christmas show that wa due to air on Channel 4 has been called off.
Lycett tweeted the news: "Unfortunately due to the progression of the Omnicron variant I am very sad to announce we have cancelled next week's Mummy's Big Christmas Do on Channel 4. Live TV involves a huge amount of people. Mummy doesn't want any of my team at risk! I'm obviously gutted – we had a very fun loud and colourful show and I hope one day we can do it for you. Lots of love Mummy xxx"

Channel 4 has announced the following specials to run over the Christmas/New Year period. This is in addition to the already announced specials of Taskmaster, Joe Lycett: Mummy's Big Christmas Do!, One Night In, All I Want(ed) For Christmas and Jon And Lucy's Christmas Sleepover.
Joe Lycett is to host a big Christmas special on C4. He announced the news and asked for contributors via social media.
