Graham Linehan Talks About Being Cancelled

Father Ted co-creator Graham Linehan has talked on television about how much he has suffered due to his views on trans rights.

Linehan appeared on broadcaster Stephen Nolan's talk show on BBC Northern Ireland. The interview is available here.

In the interview Linehan said that he has been cancelled so much that he had not even been invited to appear in two programmes on cancel culture.

News: Graham Linehan Suspended From Twitter

Writer Graham Linehan has been suspended from Twitter for reportedly breaking the social media site’s rules on banned words.

His account, in the name of @glinner, was suspended, said the site, after “repeated violations of our rules against hateful conduct and platform manipulation”.

Linehan is best known as the co-writer of acclaimed sitcom Father Ted but in recent years he has also become known for his controversial comments about transgender issues.

Father Ted co-creator Graham Linehan has revealed that he is now clear of cancer.

Yesterday he tweeted that having had a testicle removed he was now about to embark on a course of chemotherapy. 

But today he tweeted some good news: "Well, holy shit. I just saw my oncologist. Everything’s clear. No chemo! Can’t believe it! NO CHEMO! Have been organising my life around the idea that the next three months were just *gone*!"

Comedy writer Graham Linehan has revealed that he has been having treatment for testicular cancer.

In a series of tweets he updated his followers on the situation.

"I got a bit of bad news recently. A little touch of the old cancer. Luckily, ball cancer is one of the best ones to have (sorry, ladies!) and they got rid of it all pretty quickly, along with a ball. Bye, ball! I'll never forget the good times!

News: Transmission Date Confirmed For New Count Arthur Strong Series

BBC1 has confirmed the transmission date for the new series of sitcom Count Arthur Strong.

It will return to BBC1 on May 19 at 8.30pm.   .

The seven-part series is once again written by Steve Delaney, who plays Count Arthur, and Graham Linehan. The regular cast all returns. There is Michael (Rory Kinnear), Eggy (Dave Plimmer), John The Watch (Andy Linden) and cafe owners Bulent (Chris Ryman) and his sister Sinem (Zahra Ahmadi). There is also a new customer, cheerful Birdie (Bronagh Gallagher).

Kült is about a group of five lowly but loveable Irish employees of a massive global furniture corporation based in Dublin - a modern Nordic company which resembles more of an insane religious sect than a traditional business.

News: Graham Linehan & Adam Buxton Team Up on Space Sitcom

Graham Linehan and Adam Buxton are working together on a new sitcom called The Cloud set in space.

According to the Radio Times the comedy, being developed for Channel 4, is set on a 'data hub' floating above the earth which looks after all the information stored on computer devices, from funny videos of kittens to hardcore pornography.

Buxton is also set to be one of the stars, alongside Aisling Bea and Jamie Demetriou. A pilot is to be shot for the channel this Spring.
