Mock the Week is to return with a new series, launching Sunday 1st February at 9pm on TLC, which is now free-to-air in the UK. Once again it will be hosted by Dara Ó Briain. The witty, fast-paced, satirical panel show that turns the week’s news into comedy gold will now feature hour-long episodes packed full of jokes and the chaotic energy fans know and love.
Amazon Freevee have announced the commissioning of an American version of long-running UK topical comedy series Mock the Week which will begin filming in early 2024. The series will be executive produced by the format’s co-creator, BAFTA-winning producer Dan Patterson together with Emmy-winning former Daily Show host Trevor Noah in a move that is already being described as “probably the most momentous thing that will happen in the USA in 2024...
Mock the Week will now begin recording next Wednesday, 21st September, with transmission on Friday 23rd September. This will be the last series of the long-running comedy panel show.
There will now be five regular episodes followed by two specials looking back over the seventeen years the series has been running.
Long-running panel show Mock the Week is preparing to return to BBC2 for its 21st and final series this month.
