Undisputed champion of comedy whimsy David O'Doherty headlines the first night of the new season of Friday night Live at the Clapham Grand shows at the Grand in south London this Friday.

Last Friday about an hour before I was due to head out to my first gig and file my first review I had a call from the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival press office asking me not to file any reviews until after the five-day Festival was over.
