Could the BBC's rebooted Big Night Out be more than just one reunion episode?
Beyond The Joke has heard that when the show was filmed last night at the Hospital Club in Covent Garden it was referred to as a "pilot" rather than a "one-off reunion". There has been speculation that if it all works out a series could follow.
Vic Reeves, aka Jim Moir, is to join the cast of Coronation Street. Jim will play television presenter Colin who comes to Weatherfield to film with Norris and Mary after they are chosen to make an appearance on his show. It’s not long before Colin finds himself embroiled in the lives of other street residents.
He will begin filming a three month stint in July. He will be on screen from late summer.
Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer's Big Night Out is to return for a one-off half-hour special.
The show originally aired on Channel 4. This time it will go out on BBC2. It was originally called Vic Reeves’ Big Night Out and will now be called Vic & Bob’s Big Night Out.
Ofcom has confirmed that it will not be investigating complaints from viewers about this year's Comic Relief.
Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer are still working on their new sketch show, as reported by Beyond The Joke last year. "We are ready to go," says Mortimer, "but nobody wants to film it."
The duo were talking to Dermot O'Leary on last night's Nightly Show in the run-up to Red Nose Day when they will be reviving their Geordie chat show hosts The Stotts for one night only.

Vic Reeves has invariably shied away from being serious about his comedy so it is a bit of a scoop getting him to present this grown-up documentary about Dada as part of BBC4’s current conceptual art series.
BBC Four has announced a season of programmes exploring the world of conceptual art, BBC Four Goes Conceptual, including a documentary fronted by Jim Moir, aka Vic Reeves.
To mark the 100th anniversary of Dada, Jim Moir (aka Vic Reeves) takes us on an irreverent trip into the world of the avant-garde art group that became one of the most influential movements of the 20th century.
